When I was a child, I used to listen to music "get-togethers" at my grandparent's house. My father Edward, my uncle Grover, and my grandfather Daddy Pat would sit around after dinner and play old country and southern folk tunes. Eventually I wanted to be part of it all. I sat down at the piano and plunked out chords with them. When Dad was stationed at an airbase where he could find a piano teacher, I took lessons. I was a terrible student, and (regretfully) I eventually fought my way out of it. Then, in 1974, my high school buddy Paul Richards asked me to add piano to some songs he was playing on the guitar. From the day he showed up at my house, guitar in one hand, an amp in the other, I was hooked.

My first real opportunity to play in a cover band came in 1992, after sitting in with James Brewer's band, The Works. The guitar player, Bill Phillips, asked me to join a classic rock band he was forming. He handed me a stack of cassette tapes wrapped in rubber bands, full of music to learn. We became Eight Track Mind and played in clubs around Houston. Since then, I've played clubs, bars, ice houses, back yard parties, galas, festivals, country clubs, parks, hotels, street events and other nefarious venues throughout the Houston area and beyond.

I am currently playing with an amazing band called Flashback. We are an "80's Band", playing all your MTV favorites.

I still go back to Arizona to play with OvO. We crank out kick-ass Rock and Roll from the 70's.

Tommy, Pablo, and I get together annually as "B-3" to recreate the Beatles experience, playing classics and a few hidden gems.

I sit in with Bobby Enloe and his Texas Music friends on occasion and get back to my family's country roots with "Old West" classics.

I LOVE to see my friends in the audience. I will always post my upcoming events on my Facebook page, and from now on, RIGHT HERE!
